This unique ring features a large oval-shaped head filled with a dainty white mother of pearl flower, a turquoise gemstone flower and a large red coral gemstone flower made of coral surrounded with lush green leaves, which back onto a black background made of onyx, which adds depth and dimension to the piece. The intricate design is set against a textured gold band with trifurcated shoulders, adding to the elegance and sophistication of the ring.
This antique Pietra Dura ring is a true testament to the exquisite craftsmanship of the era. Pietra Dura, which translates to "hard stone" in Italian, is a technique that involves using coloured stones to create intricate designs.
This ring, circa 1820, tests as 18ct. The ring has a slim ornate band and is in wearable condition with light marks commensurate with age.
