This wonderful antique solitaire ring, circa the Art Deco era, holds a stunning old mine cut diamond at its heart. The old mine cut diamond is known for its softer shape and warm, romantic sparkle. Cushion-shaped with rounded corners, they feature a high crown, small table, deep pavilion and more obvious culet. Their larger, chunkier facets create bold flashes of light rather than the sharp, even brilliance of a modern cut. The old cut diamond in this ring is held by eight platinum claws in a rex gallery, with a contrasting yellow gold underbezel.
