This wonderful ring holds five beautiful, bright old-cut diamonds in platinum settings. Typically Art Deco in style, the piece combines round diamonds and soft, antique sparkle with slightly squared settings, though each is unique and has an attractive softness to its corners and edges. The diamonds graduate in size from the central stone, though the light platinum settings that hold them give them a grander appearance, making them look larger than they are.
Platinum was popular for Art Deco diamond settings because its strength allowed jewellers to create very fine, delicate claws and intricate openwork while securely holding the stones.
