This beautiful vintage ring, hallmarked after 1976, has a captivating crossover design with five sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds forming a cluster at its heart. From afar, the cluster appears to be one large diamond, with the cluster ensuring fabulous sparkle and dispersion from each diamond's multiple facets. The stones are lively, with an estimated G-H color.
The stones are held within a crossover head, the shoulders swirling around the head to form a sleek, rounded border. The effect is striking and unique - the shoulders have a wider, stronger appearance whilst the design gives a delicate and soft flair. The shoulders slim down into a yellow gold band, the lined detailing of the swirling shoulders gently dissapearing, the rest of the band minimalist with a plain, polished finish.
Inside the band, a '750' stamp and a hallmark. This ring is hallmarked by the Assay Office of Birmingham for 18ct gold, but instead of Birmingham's usual anchor stamp, a triangle stamp has instead been used, marking this ring as imported metal, hallmarked post 1976. This is a wonderful piece for those looking for an alternative to a solitaire ring. A classic with a twist.
