the antique old cut diamond three stone ring

This wonderful three-stone ring, circa the early to mid 20th century, holds three sparkling old-cut diamonds, illusion-set in contrasting platinum settings for fantastic brilliance. The illusion setting lends the diamonds a larger, grander appearance, while the light platinum settings enhance the diamonds' bright colour, a style typical of the early to mid 20th century. The old cut diamonds have a larger culet facet and a softer sparkle, giving the piece heaps of antique charm, though the style remains classic and forever in style.
Beneath the platinum settings is an open yellow gold gallery, allowing light to hit the stones from every angle as it seeps through the open space of the ring, maximising the diamonds' performance. The shoulders are slim and neat, leading to a yellow gold band with a plain, polished finish. Inside the band is a tiny stamp. This ring is stamped ‘18ct & plat’, telling us which metals it has been crafted from. This ring has been tested and assessed as 18ct gold and platinum.
A wonderful piece, quirky yet still minimalist, this ring would make a fantastic engagement ring due to the hardness of the stones and comfortable band. This ring looks fantastic worn with a band or stacked with other pieces, but it's equally beautiful on its own, allowing the piece to shine.
