Circa 1810. A late George III rosewood and inlaid D shaped fold over card tale in the manner of ‘Bruce and Burns of Edinburgh’, the top with well figured rosewood, cross-banding and double bands of string inlay, opens to reveal a felt lined interior with a rosewood banding framed in boxwood, the 2 back legs are hinged and swing out and support the top when open, the frieze with a lovely diamond pattern inlay with the same style as the top, the table rests on 4 square tapering legs the tops with a concave diamond shape with a dot beneath, the legs are framed in boxwood with an ebony banding on the top, finishing on an elegant extended splayed foot, the table has been recently repolished traditionally.
