Circa 1790. A late George III mahogany and inlaid D-shaped fold-over card table in the manner of 'Bruce & Burns of Edinburgh', the top with finely figured mahogany and broad banding with a boxwood string inlaid fore-edge. The hinge top opens to reveal a felt-lined interior with mahogany banding and string inlay, the curved friezes with banded satinwood panels, the table rests on four square tapering legs each headed by an oval inlaid shell, one of the back legs swings out to support the table when opened, behind this leg is a concealed drawer, the table has great colour and patination is clean stylish and is functional.
