      This is an antique Napoleon III liquor cellar. A French, ebonised Rosewood liqueur box with fitted interior and cut glass decanters, dating to the early 19th century, circa 1830.

      • Deep ebonised Rosewood provides a striking ground upon which, inlaid detail adds fine interest
      • Cut glass decanters and set of glasses of high quality - some signs of use present to glasses
      • The whole secured by a double-throw inset working lock — key present
      • A brass lock escutcheon sits at the base of a profusely detailed inlaid shield design
      • Boulle work with brass and Mother of Pearl inlay is of master craftsman quality

      This is an antique stag bronze. A French, study of a deer or male elk and signed by the artist Prosper LeCourtier (1851-1924), dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

      • Presented upon a black marble plinth
      • Superb stag antlers a testament to the craftsmanship
      • The elk depicted traversing a craggy outcrop
      • Fine detail to the face and fur
      • Nicely weighted at 4.6kg (10.1lb)
      • Sculptor's name to the front - P. LeCourtier
      • LeCourtier studied under renowned French sculptor Emmanuel Frémiet
      • A regular exhibitor, his highest achievement was 1st class medal at the 1902 Paris salon
      • Foundry stamp to the left side reads 'Bronze Garanti Paris J.B. Deposee'
