Circa 1900. A Meiji period, stained jardinière of generous proportions, the dish shaped top with foliate carving on the inside and a profusely carved fore-edge, the outside with further carving and beading with a flared body entwined by a fully carved dragon with foliate carving to the sides, all resting on four elegant cabriole legs with foliate carved toes resting on a circular platform base with scratch and floral carving to the center, decoration on the sides sitting on four animal feet with carved quarter blocks, all with great colour, clean and sturdy.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
