We present you this wonderful 18th-century chest of drawers in the transitional style of Louis XV features a curved design and delicate floral marquetry patterns. It comes with two front drawers, showcasing finely crafted floral marquetry that adds a touch of luminosity to the piece. The two sides are adorned by motifs of a flower vase each, encircled by Greek net patterns. It is made of rosewood with lemonwood decorations and is topped with a grey grooved breccia marble with white veining. Rich gilded bronze decorations embellish the legs, handles, entrances, and lamp base, featuring acanthus leaf designs. This late 19th-century cabinet in the transition style of Louis XV boasts rosewood marquetry on an oak frame. It has a symmetrical design with 14 drawers on both the left and right sides of the central body. In the central section, youll find a spacious drawer at the top, followed by two curtains that unveil a secretary with shelves and two more small drawers. There is also a convenient pull-out writing surface covered in gilt leather. The upper section of the cabinet is elegantly adorned with finely crafted gilded bronze details, including a frieze with interlaced ovular motifs. Intricately designed bronze drops with garlands and acanthus leaves embellish the four front pillars, while the lamp bronze displays decorations of a covered vase, garlands, and more acanthus leaves. The four feet are completely covered in bronze, providing both support and ornamental flair. This piece has a slight frontal projection and is crowned with a beautiful Sarrancolin marble top. Please note that the leather covering on the writing surface is stained and should be replaced; we can facilitate this and offer a wide selection of colours. We present you this beautiful set of six carved mahogany chairs crafted by the renowned La Maison Krieger in Paris. Each chair features its KRIEGER PARIS plaque on the back of the seat. This is a rare and comfortable model with a seat height of 53 centimetres. It dates from the late 19th to early 20th century.La Maison Krieger was established in 1826 by Antoine Krieger and his brother Nicolas, setting up shop at 17 Rue Saint-Nicolas in Paris. It began as a furniture manufacturer but soon expanded to include a prominent decoration service. During the 1920s and 1930s, their massive workshops in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine employed about a thousand people. The company initially gained recognition for its production of high-end items, including reproductions of 18th-century and Empire-style furniture, as well as creating exceptionally unique pieces, particularly for exhibitions.
