Circa 1920, George II style burr walnut bureau, with a crossbanded top above a crossbanded flap with a stylish brass escutcheon. It opens to reveal a simple interior with a walnut base and various drawers and pigeon holes. Beneath the flap is a flat section which is shaped and inverted, and barrel shaped on each end. The four drawers are graduating with cast brass handles and escutcheons. Beneath the bottom drawer is a stylish moulding and the bureau stands on elegant tall bracket feet. Good colour and excellent condition.
