Circa 1830. Early 19th century rosewood-inlaid, blonde walnut Continental bureau(secretaire). The polished top with boxwood inlay and rosewood crossbanding. The similarly decorated flap with a large cast brass escutcheon and inlaid star opening to a fitted interior with oak lined inlaid drawers with brass knobs. The three inlaid drawers with oak liners, brass escutcheons and unusual brass drop handles. All supported on square tapering feet .North European, possibly Italian.
