      This is an antique circular box. A Chinese, carved cinnabar lacquer decorative lidded tray, dating to the late Qing dynasty, circa 1900. 

      • Superb example of the Chinese decorative arts

      • Profusely carved with high quality, ancient Chinese mythological scenes
      • The vibrant crimson of cinnabar contrasts against the black ground
      • Dome top carved with a pair of Dog of Fu facing each other
      • Decorative motif with flowing silk sashes billow across the scene
      • Carved wave pattern to the background in very fine detail
      • Decorated border to the circumference of the base with a 4 character mark to the underside

      This is a large antique trunk. An English, pine carriage chest or steamer trunk, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. 

      • Of useful proportion and charming finish
      • Displays a desirable aged patina
      • Pine shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues beneath the wax polish finish
      • Iron and leather bound for lasting strength
      • Dressed with large iron clasps to each side of the front fascia
      • Decorative German copper plate to lid edge
      • Wide leather carriage straps to each side with shaped iron keepers
      • Stout lid opens upon rear hinges with bracket hinge to the right
      • The interior finished with a foliate lining of cream and green hues
      • The base lined with a map of Launceston District in Cornwall, dating to 1906

      This is an antique gentleman's correspondence box. An English, Rosewood and mother of pearl inlaid campaign or travel case, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

      • The rich russet hues present the inlaid mother of pearl beautifully
      • Tall, sarcophagus shape with domed lid

      • Each finished with charming inlay of circular motif and wooden pulls
