swedish antique pine dome top blanket chest - trunk (j3104c)

Here’s a very handsome Swedish antique dome-top chest with beautiful metal strap-work framing the body. It’s a tidy and well-preserved piece, featuring a curved (dome-top) lid that’s safely supported when open.

The chest has carrying handles on both ends and is empty inside. The lock is present but without a key, and there’s evidence of an older lock fitting on the opposite side. A small brass plaque on the front reads “Torsten Ekblom,” and the piece dates from around 1920, possibly a little earlier.It’s in lovely condition throughout, including the back, so it could be placed in the centre of a room.
