Circa 1830, William IV generous sized rosewood easy chair. The chair stands on splayed feet, front and back separated by a tulip decoration carved out of solid rosewood, and finishing on brass castors and wheels. Although this style of chair is usually attributed to Gillows of Lancaster we have seen a version of this leg on a stool by James Mein of Kelso. Wonderful quality, and very elegant with its scrolling arms and lovely shapes.
