A fine quality mid 20th century burr walnut extending dining table of impressive scale and elegant proportions. The top is beautifully figured throughout with richly patterned burr walnut veneers, displaying excellent colour and depth, enhanced by a crossbanded border that frames the circular form.
The table extends via a series of pull out support arms, allowing the additional leaves to be fitted to create a generous dining surface, ideal for entertaining. When closed, it presents as a substantial circular table for everyday use.
Raised on a strong and decorative base, the table stands on four turned columns united by shaped supports, terminating in substantial platform feet, giving both stability and strong visual presence.
