Circa 1900. George I style crossbanded, figured walnut chest on stand with a lovely mellow colour. The polished top in quarter-matched figured walnut, above a moulded segmented cornice and 4 shaped-front graduated drawers with crossbanding, herringbone inlay, engraved cut brass handles and escutcheons, and solid oak drawer linings. The upper section with canted corners. The base with a foliate carved moulding and two short and one long drawer with matching details, all supported on short cabriole legs with shell carved knees and pad feet.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
