A fine George III period burr walnut chest of drawers dating from the late 18th century, beautifully veneered in richly figured walnut which displays an attractive and varied grain across the drawer fronts. The warm colour and striking burr walnut veneers give the piece excellent visual character typical of quality Georgian furniture.
The chest is arranged with three short drawers across the top above three long graduating drawers, each fitted with elegant brass swan neck handles and matching escutcheons. The drawers are well proportioned and provide generous storage, while the top offers a practical surface suitable for a variety of interior settings.
