Elaborate cast iron Victorian hall stand. The arched back has 7 stylish hooks with fleur de lis protruding at each hook. In the centre is a classical figure playing a lyre, over a small circular mirror. The uprights are held in position by foliate castings. There are two sets of marble which can be interchanged, over a stylish apron, with Greek key and roundels, and a face in the centre. Beneath this is a column with two arms to retain the walking sticks and umbrellas. The back section is in the form of a grill with open fretwork. At the base are two circular lift out drip trays, with kite marks beneath showing the production date Nov 1869. Neat size and a top quality, rare example of classical Victorian engineering.
