A superb quality William IV rosewood two tier table, which converts to a plant stand.c1830.This very elegant stand / table has a thick rosewood top, which is easily removed by pressing the original brass button below, which then lifts the top on one side to be removed, which then reveals the original zinc plant holder.With the top back in place, can then be used as a lamp table etc, with a very useful extra shelf below.The sides decorated with ornate fret-carved scroll designs. Turned central stretcher to the base, standing on scroll, quadriform supports.Stunning figuring to the rosewood, having a warm patina and even colour.A wonderfully versatile piece of furniture of excellent quality, dating from a very elegant eraIn excellent antique condition.Solid, sturdy and strong.
