george iii mahogany bureau

Circa 1780, neat sized George III mahogany bureau. The flap has a stylish brass escutcheon and opens to reveal a fitted interior with various pigeon holes and drawers. The inside surface is all polished. Beneath the top there is a configuration of 4 graduating drawers with a similar escutcheon to that on the flap and cast brass swan neck handles. The drawers have a stylish caddy moulding. Beneath the bottom drawer there is a simple ogee moulding and the bureau stands on tall bracket feet. Good colour and size.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
