Circa 1820, wonderful neat sized mahogany Dutch marquetry inlaid fold over card table. The shaped marquetry top depicting flowers, cherubs and birds is hinged and opens to reveal the mahogany inside which has a circular boxwood inlay, and has 4 inlaid panels on each corner depicting the different suits of cards. The top is dished and the one half lifts to reveal four various shaped compartments. The back legs are hinged and have a mechanism to hold the table in position. The front of the table is shaped and has serpentine sides, profusely inlaid with various marquetry. The table stands on four classic cabriole legs with string and marquetry inlay on the edges and fore front.
