sold - a walnut victorian armchair, manner of howard & sons

This is a chair of real elegace and quality and is in the manner of Howard & Sons. It dates from around 1880.

The armchair is sprung throughout and has been stuffed with horse hair. It has a scrolled back and arms which are set back. It is upholstered in a beautiful silk damask and has been piped to finish.It has a lovely deep seat which has a rounded front. The legs are walnut and are turned, retaining four original solid brass pot castors.We would be happy to reupholster this chair for you.
