Superb Antique French Mahogany Cylindrical Revolving Bookcase in the 18th century style and dating from around 1920. This beautiful bookcase has the added feature of a deep well in the top which we can only assume is used as a Tantalus for wine and decanters ( we have added a photograph to show this). So that you may stretch out and enjoy a glass or two whilst relaxing with your book!

It has a gallery top with turned spindle supports above a deep cross banded frieze above two tiers with each tier separated into four sections divided by four very nice architectural style panels. It is moulded to the base with a deep mahogany skirt and stands on a single turned candlestick support on three shaped legs with a pad foot.The base separates from the bookcase for ease of transporting and the bookcase revolves beautifully.Measures: 53" high x 21" x 21"A Superb early 20th Century French Mahogany Revolving Bookcase and in very good original condition with a lovely age deepened colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
