Circa 1860. A Georgian style inlaid mahogany open bookcase, the moulded cornice with dentil detail and a stylish inlaid frieze, the front with two open sections with panel backs, each with five adjustable shelves with polished ribbed facings, the sections separated by simple polished pilasters, beneath the bottom there's a ribbed moulding and a flared and carved apron, all resting on five cabriole legs with shell carved knees and foliate carving on the quarter blocks and finishing on an elegant ball and claw foot. Approx. 10.5 meters of linear shelf space.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
