Antique Georgian Regency Inlaid Mahogany Bureau and dating from aorund 1810. Constructed from quality mahogany the top and fall front is inlaid with fruitwood banding and with attractive half fluted design to each corner. The fall front has a brass escutcheon and original working key and with original lopers, opens to reveal a lovely interior of serpentine shape with various pigon holes with shaped dividers and with shaped frieze above and with various small drawers all of which are oak lined. To the centre is a small door inlaid with fruitwood and flanked on either side by a panel and column both of which are in fact secret drawers. To the base there are two short drawers over three long drawers all of which are oak lined with later brass handles and escutcheons. All the drawers are edged with fine stringing. It stands on shaped bracket feet.
