Circa 1850. Rare, 19th-century mahogany open bookcase in the Adams style.Surmounted by a shaped and fluted pediment with neoclassical carved ribbons and bell flower chains. The bookcase with a polished panelled back and six solid mahogany ribbed-front adjustable shelves. All sitting on a moulded stepped plinth base with canted corners. In excellent original condition with a great colour and patina. Its simple classical lines that would suit a contemporary or traditional home.
