Quality late 19th Century Oak English country house armchair in the manner of Howard & Sons. This super comfortable light honey oak armchair dating to circa 1880 is typical of the famous Howard and Sons style with the low deep seat having gently serpentine shaped buttoned arms held by oak turned supports with a shaped and buttoned raised on turned oak legs and brass castors. In excellent condition with original upholstery intact this armchair has been recovered in a Irish linen with the oak being gently restored using traditional methods. This is one of the most comfortable chairs I have come across and will be a fine additional to any home.
