Circa 1900, an exhibition quality Sheraton style bow front display cabinet. The cabinet has a solid mahogany moulded top. Below is a banding of inlay in satinwood and mahogany. There is a framed moulded frieze with wonderful inlay of stylised string inlay and floral decoration in the centre. There is a large central door has 12 curved pieces of glass, the top with stylised arches, solid mahogany astragals and the glass is held in position with putty. The sides have 12 similar panes of glass on each. Below the top is a moulded edge and on the base there are 2 cupboards with swags and tails and multiple inlays. In the centre are 2 drawers with cast brass handles and chequered inlay. The cabinet stands on 4 square tapering legs which finish on small moulded feet. The inside of the cabinet is covered in patterned water silk. There are 3 shelves, the top 2 are concave with a polished edge and the bottom is convex. Perfect condition.
