Circa 1880, set of 10 Victorian walnut dining chairs. The oval back has a central carved open splat with fine foliate and Rococo carvings over a stuff over serpentine seat and a simple beading below that runs down to form part of the legs. The front legs are carved and cabriole and there are turned swept legs at the rear. Mellow in colour, excellent condition and sturdy. Four are slightly darker in colour than the other six. Extremely rare to find set of 10 chairs in this style.
