Circa 1880. Carved oak Jacobean-style monks' bench/ hall bench. The back
which can slide forward to become table, with low-relief heraldic carvings
and supported on two simple arms on turned supports. The lifting seat has
generous storage beneath and the sides and front of base with further
low-relief carvings. Attractive and functional item, in excellent condition.
