Circa 1815, exhibition quality Regency inlaid mahogany cabinet bookcase. With arched top, flame mahogany and ebony beadings, above glazed doors with ribbed, shaped astragals. Inside are glass shelves and a silk lining, and to the base is a large full sized drawer with matching flame mahogany veneers, turned knob handles and a large brass escutcheon. The cupboards to the base have flame mahogany panels, ebony inlay and banding, with ribbed beading separating them (similar to the top). Standing on squat, spayed feet in a Gillows of Lancaster style design.
