george iv mahogany 6 door bookcase

Circa 1830, George IV mahogany 6 door bookcase. The stylish cornice has ogee mouldings and a simple apron. Beneath this, each door is in 2 sections and glazed with mesh in front of the glass and flamed mahogany frames. Each of the cross over points on the mesh is finished with a brass star. Inside are adjustable shelves with polished facings. The mouldings around the doors are very stylish. The whole piece stands on an enclosed plinth. Excellent colour and wonderful chosen veneers.
