A fine George III mahogany bachelor’s chest dating from circa 1800. The rectangular moulded top is positioned above a pull-out brushing slide and four graduated drawers, providing useful storage within a compact and practical design.
The drawer fronts retain decorative brass handles and escutcheons, while the chest stands on shaped bracket feet. The mahogany has developed a warm, rich colour and attractive aged patina, making this an excellent antique chest of drawers for a bedroom, dressing room or traditional interior.
