Circa 1880, French walnut bergere childs chair. With a carved top rail with small carved finials to each end, and the back and seat are original to the chair and caned in bergere, in exhibition quality condition. The solid walnut arms have carved acanthus leaves to the front, and it has a curved half round rail to the front of the seat, curving to the sides and back. The reeded back legs are slightly outswept with a small beading to the side, and the front legs turn and taper down. Finishing on neat sized, tulip turned feet.
