Circa 1860. An unusual stylish Birdseye maple Biedermeier chest of drawers. The top in figured maple with a flat fore edge followed by a large ogee moulding. The chest has a configuration of four full length drawers, the top drawer is concave in shape, each of the drawers retain original turned circular escutcheons and pressed glass handles. The drawers are separated by a large rounded moulding, with rounded fore-edge and Birdseye maple on the gables. The chest rests on two block feet at the back and a pair of elegant turned and tapering bun feet at the front.
