This is an antique mounted school bell. An English, bronze bell on an oak and pine plinth, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.
- Of superb proportion and Georgian appeal
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
- Well-aged bronze bell shows dark patination and tonality
- Suspended upon an articulated oak yoke, resting within cast iron bracket arms
- Mounted upon a dark stained pine base board of generous width
- Supplied with a quality, later 'Sally' bell rope in bright red, blue and white
- Can be used at a comfortable height of 6' to 12' by unwinding the rope
This is a fascinating antique mounted school bell, with a wonderful period aesthetic and delightfully presented for use. Delivered waxed, polished and ready to hang.
