Circa 1920, unusual walnut double door glazed bookcase by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The rectangular top has a simple moulded edge and a small shaped gallery at the back. Below this are 2 glazed doors with chamfered edges. The doors have a beaded edge and open to reveal 3 adjustable shelves. Below the doors is a classic Whytock & Reid apron and typical feet. This piece shows a lot of features of Sir Robert Lorimers’ style. Excellent colour and condition.
