unusual oak dressing table

Circa 1900, very unusual oak dressing table. The bevelled edge mirror is suspended on a single column within a ‘U’ shaped frame with canted corners and axe head drops on both sides. Below that is a large cabinet with a single drawer, which has a carved handle which is flush into it with a grotesque face. Below that is a panel door, with 1 adjustable shelf inside, and a small shaped apron which wraps around. There are ribbed pilasters on the front and sides. The legs are turned with square blocks below and bulbous feet.
