Circa 1880. The late Victorian aesthetic movement hand painted ash dressing table, the framed mirror with canted corners which is painted in sections, the two turned uprights with various painted sections with solid buttresses, the two jewellery drawers highly decorated, each with two knob handles, a large flat surface with triple lines of painting in red with elegant patterns on the corners, the frieze with two drawers with similar decoration to the jewellery drawers, all resting on four turned and ring turned legs with painted quarter brackets on the front, the legs are painted in various sections, braced by ribbed stretchers to the sides and the back.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
