Circa 1960, stained beech Orkney chair. It has an old straw back tied with marram grass, and the top rail is finished in marram grass. It is slightly unusual with a solid beech seat, and it features the classic style of arms introduced by David Kirkness. The uprights to the back and arms are locked into the stretchers, and the legs are slightly outswept to the back and front.
