Circa 1870. A quality mid Victorian rosewood framed two-seater sofa. The upholstered shaped back with pleating and deep buttoning with large stuff-over seat all in pink velour. Two well carved arms with foliate scrolling which are well-shaped, with a beading beneath the seat with foliate carving in the centre, all resting to the front on a pair of well carved cabriole legs with foliate carving on the knees, and scrolling C brackets to the side, resting on a well-shaped cabriole leg with brass castors beneath. The back legs are shaped and slightly out swept. The sofa is in excellent condition.
