Circa 1870, pair of oak Gothic revival chairs in the style of Pugin. The uprights have a chamfered edge and the large splat has proud circular buttons. The centre splat is curved and tapered. There is a stuff over seat and the chairs stand on square tapering legs at the front and out swept legs at the back. There is some blackening to fore edges to highlight the style of the chairs.
