There is a very stylish hinged escutcheon which is rectangular with canted corners with foliate casting on it. At the sides there are 2 ring pull handles with a pressed back plate again with a flower head on it. The body of the ottoman is tapering and at the base there are 2 small squat bracket feet at the front and at the back. The whole piece is polished and free standing.
