Circa 1890, mahogany and inlaid gentleman’s private club or hotel posting cabinet. With a mahogany top with double string inlay and satin cross banding above two full length cupboards. Each cupboard has 4 pigeon holes to the top and brass plates beneath for designating who the mail is for. It has a patent action self-locking device to the drawers and pin hinges. Inside the drawers are 4 separate divisions. It has a simple apron with string inlay and it stands on tapering legs, ending on spade toes.
