Circa 1860, Korean figured elm and hardwood Tansu cabinet. The inset rectangular top with brass banded corners is over 4 small drawers with original brass handles within moulded borders. The cabinet is covered in horizontal and vertical panels of burr elm set within rounded mouldings. It contains two cupboards with twin doors with traditional Korean brass locks. The base has a shaped skirt and supported on shaped bracket feet.
