Circa 1920, George III style mahogany open bookcase. The rectangular top has wonderful gadroon carving on the front and returns. The bookcase has one double section with three adjustable helves, and a smaller section on the right also with three adjustable shelves. The shelves have a moulded polished front edge. Beneath the bottom shelf is a small ogee moulding and the whole piece stands on four stylish ball and claw feet with carved quarter brackets and carved foliate on the knees. Solid, clean and functional.
