george iii chippendale style chest of drawers

Circa 1770, Scottish George III Chippendale style chest of drawers. With simple ogee moulded edge and 3 short drawers at the top with swan neck handles and brass escutcheons. The centre drawer does not have handles, typical for a chest of that period. There are 3 further drawers retaining original Georgian handles and cop beaded fore-edges and various mouldings, standing on squat bracket feet.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
