Circa 1920, neat sized, George I style figured walnut cabinet bookcase. The shaped polished top with a cavetto cornice is over twin astragal glazed doors with brass escutcheons, and opens to an adjustable shelved interior. The base has a polished slide with brass axe head handles and is over twin burr walnut panelled doors opening to a shelved interior. This is all supported on neat bun feet and it bears the retailers label ‘A Gardiner and Sons, Glasgow, Established 1832’.
