Early 1900s Chip-Carved Mahogany? Spinning Chair

A good quality example of an early 1900s, possibly mahogany, spinning chair in very good condition, with tapering paddle back, crisply chip-carved to the front with circular fan motifs embellished with tiny florets, pierced with a heart shaped hand-hold and peg-jointed beneath an elongated octagonal seat which is similarly chip-carved and has moulded edges, resting upon four spread and ring-turned legs with peg feet, this lovely piece will charm in any home, whether period-furnished or more contemporary in taste, fully-deserving of the appreciative attention it will surely attract.

    Width 30cm x O/All Depth 38cm (c11.75" x 15") & O/All Height 93.75cm (c37")

    Seat Width 30cm x Depth 34.5cm (c11.75" x c13.5") & Height of Seat 34cm (c13.5")

This piece dates from around the early years of the 20thC, so you may expect the mature character & patina of age, together with wear & tear commensurate with normal use, including light wear to the carving on the top surface of the seat but, in all other respects, it's in very good, clean & sound condition and is ready to use in your home.
